The famous Oscar-winning English actress, Emma Thomson, who spends her second week of her vacacation in Greece, visited the island of Santorini with her daughter for the first time. Apart from the majestic vistas and the island's idylic atmosphere, she was impressed by the island’s flavours and the traditional dishes, as she personally wrote
The restaurant that the British star loved the most was “Red Bicycle” in Oia, Santorini, which she chose coincidental , she wrote on her instagram account . She was found around the restaurant, while on a walk through the picturisque streets of the island, and being charmed by the view, she booked a table herself. She was delighted to enjoy dinner the same evening with seafood dishes of light and delectable tastes.
Some of their favourites were roasted crayfish with tara cream and tomato sauce, cod with lemon cream and vinegar, almond foam and fennel – orange sauce, grilled vine leaves, sweet potato and dill sauce, as well as the crisp quinoa and couscous with fresh shells, ahino, santorini zucchini and ouzo
On the last week of June Emma Thompson had visited the beautiful Milos and enjoyed the sun, the sea and as well the gastronomic specialties of the island.
Simple, smiling and accessible, she talked to the residents of the island and photographed with them.
